Responses

I really appreciate your project. But only hindrance is why you training make people aware on proprietary products. I have perused your document and what I can see is you are tiring to make dependency more. You are a well aware person and you know that unlicensed copies cant be used in such project. are you going to buy all this staff for entire project?

Why don’t you try to make people aware on free software? When you use proprietary you don’t know what is happening, you can use the tool which provided. When you use free software you can make arrange the software according to your needs.

Now you have taken fresh community to educate them on IT. But in my point of view, your are educating them on some proprietary product not IT that would create more dependency, is this the digital colonialism?

Government provides the Operating System (Windows XP) and the virus guards to the project. But the eVilllages need to buy the rest of the software.

We have addressed the issue you mentioned at the PPS presentation attached in this link. http://evillage.wordpress.com/2007/09/07/presentation-on-evillage-project/ You can help these villages by training them open source software.
